Directory methodology

Obstetricians.com organizes public business information about OB-GYN groups, health systems and related women’s health platforms. It is not a patient referral directory and does not compare clinical quality.

Sources and inclusion

Use an entity’s official website, public company statements, regulatory filings and credible research. A profile should state the business relationship only when its source supports the wording. A brand, address or transaction rumor is not proof of ownership. Profiles can include health systems and adjacent women’s health platforms when official material documents relevant services or business relationships. We record the source URL with each profile.

Ownership labels

Use labels such as independent, physician-owned, hospital-affiliated, sponsor-backed or public only when a first-party company statement, filing or multiple credible independent sources support the label. Identify the entity and relationship precisely. When evidence is incomplete, do not assign an ownership label.

Limits

Public records can be incomplete and company descriptions can change. Practice locations may not map one-to-one to legal entities, billing organizations or clinician records. A directory entry is not an endorsement, care quality rating, recommendation or proof of ownership. Do not use group information to make a patient care decision.
